Such a tragic loss. I have known his family for decades. His brother Rick has been a good friend since the late 1980’s. I send prayers and thoughts of healing to this wonderful family
. God bless!
Dr,Aguirre was the most humble person. I remember seeing him cleaning our break room. He was taking the full coffee containers
out of the trash can and pouring the coffee into the sink and then throwing them back into the trash. I told him you know we have a
cleaning crew..He replied he worked as a custodian, I think he said High School and hated when he would take out a trash bag and
liquid would spill all over the floor. I was humbled myself by this and to this day I will never look at common courtesy as someone
else’s job. He will be missed so much it was a pleasure to work for him.
Dr. Aguirre will truly be missed. He was an excellent doctor full of humor and great patience. A humble man I had the privilege of knowing. Tears have been shed with a heart that aches for
his departure from this world. Praying for comfort, healing and peace for his immediate family, his family at Mcgregor and all that knew him. God made a masterpiece.
Dr. Aguirre was my physician for over 17 years. I will miss him very much. He was a kind and caring man who took time with his patients, I never felt rushed. I will also miss our talks about West Texas, especially Marfa and Alpine. God bless his family and all who love him.
He was my and my mothers primary care dr for 15+ yrs. He helped us through soo much of our lives. He will be missed deeply. Condolences to his family.
Dr Aguirre was very personable, did not rush you through the visit and helped me through so much. Rest in peace. You have been missed. Condolences to the family.
My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Aguirre’s family as they go through this difficult time. Dr. Aguirre was my Dr for many, many years. I will cherish all the talks and advice he gave me.
Rest in Peace,
Letty
Dr. Aguirre was one of a kind. He was a very caring person and never made me feel like I was just a patient, but a person. God bless his family and coworkers during this time. Heaven has another angel.
Dr Aguirre was my Doctor for many years. He did not rush me through our visits and always listened patiently. He was a very caring Doctor. I will miss him.
Dr Fernando was my first doctor when I moved to San Antonio. He was a good choice. Nothing but the best can be said about him. He was genuine. My condolences to his family, his friends, his patients and all the staff. He will be missed. May he Rest In Peace
He was so compassionate and trustworthy.
A brilliant physician but at the same time very easy to talk to.
I miss him. I offer my deepest sympathy to his wife, the Aguirre family as well as the MacGregor family.
He was definitely one if a kind.
Dr. Aguirre was my PCP for many, many years. Heaven has claimed a beautiful angel. I pray for his family and all those who loved him to find comfort in knowing he helped so many people through out his life.
I’m so saddened by this news. I’d purchased an “Anniversary” card for Dr. Aguirre, thanking him for “our” 22 years together. The pandemic struck and the card never got sent. I discovered the found the card on Monday, May 11, and intended to take it to MacGregor this week. Sigh.
He was a great guy and I had to remember he was my doctor during our visits…he was more like a friend helping me through the medical obstacles of life. If I miss him this much, I have an idea of how much his family, friends, and MacGregor peeps must feel. My condolences to all. Thank you, Dr. Aguirre.
Dr Aguirre was my doctor for over 19 years! Always kind and patient, he made you feel like you were the only patient he had that day. When our daughter unexpectedly passed away and we had to take on the role of raising our 7 year old grandson in our mid 60s, he sat with me and just held my hand and talked. That personal caring meant so much.
We also are neighbors and had many fun discussions about things in the area, and not so fun stuff like the hail storm of 2016 when we all sustained significant damage to our homes.
Such a special guy, fantastic doctor, and sweet friend.
Our deepest condolences to the family amd his Macgregor family. I will miss you always, fly free now!

Dr. Fernando Aguirre, my doctor since McGregor Facilities opened, he was the best doctor I have ever had. I would go in his office crying and come out feeling 100% better and happy. I will forever cherish his motivational advice and kind words and his ways of making me feel at ease with his undivided attention and patience. May the Lord receive him with open arms, for I am sure he has earned his place in heaven and until we meet again, may the Lord provide peace strength and comfort to all his family, who were fortunate to be part of his life on this earth. My deepest condolences to his wife and family, thank you for sharing your dad/husband with so many people that needed him. God Bless You.
Dr. Aguirre was my first real doctor. I always just used emergency clinics or the like when I got an injury and went on my way. I deal with what they call white coat syndrome and was very nervous when I first went to see him as a referral from a family member. He was so kind and understanding when talking to me. He didn’t make me feel bad in any way for not going to see doctors sooner, instead he formed a plan for me and just talked to me like he had known me for years. He kept me informed and put me at ease with the issues I was dealing with. Instantly he came off as a person who was just there to help others get better. I was so sorry to hear that he had left the practice and today I am shaken to learned he passed away. I wish I could have thanked him before he left the practice, but I thank him now for being there for all of us. May he rest in eternal glory with his ancestors, and may his family, friends, and coworkers find some peace in this time of mourning. Thank you Dr. Aguirre for everything you did in your time here.
My condolences to the Aguirre family.
I can’t believe the tragic news.
The Community / Mc Gregor clinic lost a wonderful man. Whom cared for his patients. I will miss Dr. Aguirre.
May God rest his sole. Que Dios tenga al Dr. Fernando Aguirre en su Santa Gloria.
My sincere condolences to Dr. Aguirre’s family. Dr. Aguirre was a caring and easy to talk to physician. He was always so cheerful and always greeted me with a warm handshake and pat on the back and would say “how can I help you”…i miss him, cause I know he cared about me and my family….it’s hard to find a good caring doctor. Rest in peace Dr. Aguirre you served others so well…
Dr. Aguirre was our family doctor for 20 years. He not only treated our medical ailments but took time to educate ((always had a good health book to share) and enjoyed talking about our hometowns in West Texas. He truly exemplified what a treating physician should be! I offer my my heartfelt condolences to his Aguirre family and MMC family. A rosary novena for his departed soul will be recited. May he Rest In Peace and May Perpetual Light Shine Upon him. Amen 🙏🏼😇❤️
He had been our family doctor for a very long time. He was a great Dr. always had the best bed side manner, he was one of the few Dr.’s that actually listened and took his time with his Patients. He will be greatly missed.
I am so sad to hear of his passing. 19 years ago he saved my life. I went in with a severe headache. In his calm reassuring way, he insisted I not go home, but rather see a friend of his who was a specialist. A neurosurgeon. I had a cranial aneurysm. Dr. Aguirre could have sent me home with migraine medications. He could have determined it was any number of things. I was blessed to have him as my doctor. He saved my life. I keep him and his family in my prayers. God Bless you Dr. Aguirre.
I just learned of Dr. Aguirre’s passing and I can hardly type this. What an extraordinary person he was. I echo all of the comments made above by others. He was a warm, caring and thoughful person who really knew his patients. His skill as a medical professional and his ‘bedside’ manner in my opinion were without equal and always reminded me of the doctors of the past who took the time to truly care for the welfare of their patients rather than just rushing off to the next appointment. My heartfelt condolences to his family and rest assured he is with our Lord and saviour, Jesus Christ.
I will miss him. He was quite positive and never judged.
I was so saddened to hear of Dr Aguirre’s death! My heartfelt condolences to his family. He was such a fine compassionate doctor! I never felt rushed and he always listened to me during our visits! He will be truly missed in the medical community! Prayers and may he RIP!
My deepest sympathy and condelences to his family and McGregor family office. All the dress in this office are awesome. May he R.I.P.
I am heart broken to hear this. One of the kindest, caring people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. He was my Dr for just shy of 20 years and saw me through several trying times. We always started our office visit with a brief discussion of his beloved Longhorns. He was a wonderful man and my heartfelt condolences go out to all his love ones.
just heard the news of his passing. He was doctor for 25+years he said I was one of his first patient since graduating. He helped me with my cancer and always making sure I was taking care of myself. Always there to hear whatever you were going thorough life and provide answers. Will always be in my heart God Bless him!
Dr. Aguirre was my Doctor for many years. He was thoughtful, never rushed his patients and easy to talk to. I am so sadden by his passing. May he Rest In Peace in the arms of Our Lord.
As a sit here and read all the heartfelt comments I am filled with an enormous sense of wonderment.at how many lives Dr.Fernando Aguirre touched. He was my physician for over fifteen years and, during that time, became a friend as well. I always felt I was somehow his “special:” patient to whom he listened patiently and advised gently. I see now that all his patients were special. for he possessed the grace and the humbleness of a true healer. I will miss you, Dr. Aguirre and to say your shoes will be hard to fill would be an understatement. Special prayers for your family, friends and all those you leave behind. The world will be a lesser place that you are gone. May you rest in gentle peace. .
My prayers go out to the Aguirre family. I, as all of his patients, will miss him dearly. He always spent as much time as needed at your visit and was very thorough. May he rest in peace.
I was very saddened to hear of Dr. Aguirre’s passing. He was a wonderful doctor. He was very patient and caring. My sympathies go out to his family. God bless.
My condolences to Fernando’s family, patients, friends and colleagues. I worked with Dr. Aguirre at MacGregor in Houston in the 1980s before he went to medical school; we were PA colleagues. He was always wonderful and caring to his patients. He had a great laugh, and always called me Mr. Mike. I’m grateful to have reconnected with him earlier this year. I know he will be missed.
I am so sad to find our Doctor Aguirre has gone to heaven. He was a truly caring doctor. I miss him and he will forever be in my memory.
My condolences to the family. Dr. Aguirre was my primary care doctor for many years and he was a wonderful, caring and patient doctor. He will be missed.
It was a pleasure and a honor knowing Dr. Aguirre. He was my doctor for over 10 years. He was patience, kind and understanding with my needs. My prayers go to him and his family for their loss plus the Mac Gregor staff. Dr. Aguirre was always personable and made me feel so at ease.
I am sadden by the death of Dr Aguirre. I am at a loss for words. He was the best doctor I’d ever met. When I first went to see him, no one could figure out what was going on with me. He took the time and checked everything possible until he figured out what was wrong. He was patient with me and just very caring. He will truly be missed. My most sincere condolences to his family and staff. May he rest in peace.
Dr Aguirre was a great doctor. He was always very humble and very professional. He understood his patients very well and will be missed. May he rest in peace. May His family and friends find comfort during this of loss.
I’m saddened at the loss of Dr. Aguirre, my primary doctor since I returned to San Antonio from Minnesota! He later became my kids doctor when they became adults! He was always so attentive and detailed. He will be missed, May he Rest In Peace
My husband and I are so saddened to hear about Dr. Aguirre. I am a patient of Dr. A. Rodriguez, but when she was not available I would always ask to be treated by Dr Aguirre. And he always took the time to explain any of our questions or concerns.
When I noticed he wasn’t around I asked for him and was told he had retired, but never in my life even thought it was because of a terminal illness.
Our prayers & sentiments go out to his family. He will be truly missed but fighting such a terrible illness is not life to live and I truly believe he’s now with Our Lord Jesus Christ and in a much better place.
Joe & Graciela Trevino
Dr. Aguirre, I’m going to miss you so much. Thank you for taking care of my whole family during your practice days. All of us agree how special you were in your field. You were so humble and encouraging too many. Thank you for your kindness and your faith. We will never forget you. You are an inspiration to all of us. I’m going to miss pushing back with you over my medical care, wanting to have wiggle room on my medication, then giving in to your professional opinion that you gave in such a kind and gentle, but honest manner. Thank you for making us laugh in the middle of serious times. You always made us feel welcome as a human, not just a number. You were one of a kind. We love you, we miss you, and so thankful that one day you will be reunited with all of your family and friends in heaven.
Dr. Aguirre was my first and only personal physician since I moved to San Antonio in the late 90’s. He was always honest and straight up with me concerning my health issues. He was personable and easy to talk to. I knew he was ill but I just found out that he had passed away. My heart truly hurts for his family, friends, patients, and anyone whose life he affected. RIH sir, you are truly missed.
I am so sad to hear about Dr Aguirre. He has taken care of me since I moved to San Antonio back in 2005. Coming from Dallas and being care for majority of my life by our famiy physician, I was nervous to look for my own doctor. I was soon put at ease when under Dr Aguirre’s care. He was kind, caring and most definitely knowledgeable. I looked forward to my yearly checkup. He always made me feel comfortable and affirmed that even though I questioned my body’s reactions/shape that I was actually in good health.
God Bless Dr Aguirre and his family. I am very thankful to have been your patient.
We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of this wonderful doctor and man. Dr Aguirre was my and my husband’s doctor for almost 20 years, and as our 3 older kids reached the age of 18 he took over their care from Dr. Beck as well. Dr. Aguirre was, simply put, the best doctor and human being around. He was kind, compassionate, thoughtful and never made us feel rushed or like our ailments or concerns were trivial. He was an excellent diagnostician, and always made referrals to other excellent specialists when needed. I always left his office feeling better, knowing I had received the right care and diagnosis. I know all of us miss him deeply as our family doctor, and hope that he was able to receive the same excellent and quality care during his time of need as he gave to so many others over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this time. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Dr. Aguirre was the most caring and kind person. He literally saved my life while I was suffering some severe medical issues, he reacted swiftly, professionally all the while making sure I was comfortable and understanding of everything transpiring. It saddens my heart that such a great man lost the battle to this cruel disease. May he rest in peace and may Gob bless his family. I am very thankful to have been under his care.
We are so sorry to hear about Dr. Aguirre and feel terrible for his family, friends, the office staff and doctors, and medical community in San Antonio. My husband and I have been in practice together and were so honored to see Dr. Aguirre’s patients. We are heartbroken as he was a really really good doctor, and cared so much about his patients. He was a wonderful man. God bless the Aguirre family. We will miss you Dr. Aguirre.
I’m sure like a lot of other folks, I considered Dr. Aguirre a true friend. I am truly happy he is no longer suffering “Go UT”. God bless you and your family and we will keep them in our prayers.

The news of Dr. Aguirre’s passing hit me like a ton of bricks! He was the best doctor I ever had and would BRAG about him any time I would speak of him. Truly a genuine, nice, caring, compassionate person/physician! One of kind without doubt! Sincere condolences to his wife, family and staff. Prayers for Dr. Aguirre and family. May he Rest in Peace.
Dr. Aguirre was without a doubt the best Doctor I ever had. I have had many but none as good as him. Always caring and never failed to remind me that I needed to follow up on some condition I had at the time. I will miss him and think of him often. My condolences to his family and friends.
Dr. Aguirre was such a fantastic person and such a good doctor for us. One of the very best. We were so terribly sad to read this. He is certainly missed by so many people. We really cared about him and our condolences to his family. He made a difference in this world.

My former doctor’s clinic was closing down and she recommended Dr. Aguirre to me. I saw him for several years. Very thorough, professional and personable. I was shocked when I attempted to make my appointment with him last year, that he was not practicing at that time. I thought, darn, I have to find another doctor now? I inquired about him today, wondering if he was back to work and better and found out that he passed away. I am in tears. My condolences to his family. He was a wonderful doctor and human being and I will truly miss him.
My former doctor, whose practice was closing, recommended Dr. Aguirre to me several years ago. I had been his patient for a few years. He was thorough and personable. A REAL doctor. Last year, I went to make my 6 month appointment with him and found out that he was ill. Now to find another doctor. I spoke to the McGregor office today and asked if he was better and back at work, only to find out that he passed away. I am in tears and will truly miss him. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
Dr. Aguirre was my physician for over ten years. He always seemed so caring and kind. He saw me through several issues both minor and major. THIS IS a major loss to San Antonio. My sympathies to his family and friends.
So sad to hear Dr. Aguirre passed away. When i moved SA 5 years ago it was so difficult to find a doctor who was compassionate, caring, and knowledgable. I had to find a physician in a pinch one day due to a severe ear infection, the only appointment that was available was with Dr. Aguirre, and I am so thankful that I got that appointment.
I have not been able to bring myself to go to the doctor since i got the letter in the mail saying he was leaving, and now finding out he has passed away just devastates me. God just gained another beautiful angel.
I just learned of Dr. Aguirre’s passing and I am shocked. I was concerned when I received a letter in December informing me he was on medical leave. I had no idea he had been ill. He was my primary care doctor for about 18 years. From day one he put me at ease with his warm and caring nature. I never had to wait long to be seen by him and he always took the time to explain things to me. I never felt rushed or judged. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.
I was very saddened to learn of Dr. Aguirr’es passing. He was my doctor since shortly after the McGregor clinic opened until he left on medical leave. He was the most personable, compassionate, and understanding doctor that I ever had. More importantly, I felt he genuinely took an interest in my health as if I were a friend rather than just a patient. He was instrumental in having me go through a procedure that quite possibly saved my life. I was reluctant to do it and it took his coaxing and caring nature that convinced me to eventually do it. As a result, I avoided serious medical consequences and am in good health. I had recently told my wife that I was thinking about Dr. Agurirre and found out about his passing when I started to update my primary care doctor. My condolences to his family and friends. Dr. Aguirre, que Dios te bendiga y descansa en paz con Dios nuestro senor.
My husband and I are very saddened to learn Dr. Aguirre has passed away. He was our doctor for several years and we loved having him as our doctor. He was so kind and patient with us. He gave us his full attention when we visited him which is hard to find. He was so friendly, funny and caring. Our prayers go out to his wife and family and thank them for sharing this very special man with us and all his patients. May God bless his soul and grant peace and comfort to his family.
Doctor Aguirre treated me, my husband and my dad. I saw him for over 20 years. He was my friend as well as my doctor. We had many conversations about retirement. He was a patient and caring doctor. He will truly be missed. May God bless his family.
Shocked, My prayers to the Aguirre family. My physician for 17+ years. Doc you were always there for me when I wasn’t feeling well and made me laugh, I enjoyed our talks together. You always knew what would make me better. I wish I could have been there for you. You were gifted to us as a healer with a great personal touch. God bless you, thanks for all you did for so many.
Dr Aguirre treated my husband and I for many years. Four years ago, he suggested I go to a Gastroenterologist to see if they’d recommend a colonoscopy as a preventative (my Maternal Grandfather died of Colon Cancer). Taking his recommendation, I meet with a Gastroenterologist Doctor and she believed it’d be best for me to have a Colonoscopy. Two small polyps were found and removed, one had the potential to grow into Cancer. By suggesting I go to a Gastroenterologist for preventative care, he saved my life. I will never forget that and I will forever be grateful.
During our visits with him, he’d always wheel himself in and out of our room with his laptop and greet us with a cheerful attitude, he always eased us. We always left feeling better. He is missed.
My family’s thoughts and prayers are now with the Aguirre family on their loss.
RIP Dr. Aguirre, you were a awesome Dr who touched so many lives, you are missed.
I was very heartbroken to hear about Dr. Aguirre, he was my doctor for over 20 years. Even when we moved I still would drive 20miles each way because he was such an amazing doctor. He had a way of making you feel at ease. He took time to listen to you and give you advice on what to do. He would love to talk about his family. I will truly miss him. What a great compassionate person he was. There will never be another Dr. Aguirre.
I’m very saddened. I just happen to be talking about him this morning about how much I miss him as my doctor. Dr. Aguirre was such a gentle and caring soul. He above all show his highest admiration and respect and never made you feel uncomfortable. I was missing him already and having to choose another doctor was hard for me. I will continue to honor his memory. May his soul rest in the peace of the Lord.
Dr. Fernando was my family’s primary doctor for many years. He was a kind a caring individual. My deepest sympathy to his family and staff. Heaven received an angel. He will be truly missed by all who ever crossed his path.
I have such a heavy heart to learn my instinct was correct. When I read here that Dr. Aguirre has passed away, I was greatly saddened. He was my Dr. of many years, and a wonderful Dr. at that, always very warm and engaging. I will greatly miss him, he will be difficult to replace. My heart goes out to his family, whom he always talked about, and I wish them well. My prayers will be with them and that they will heal from this & be strong in his memory.
I truley hurt my heart when heard Dr. Aguirre had passed. He was a great doctor and i will never forget my years as my physician and also that of my fathers.
He will be greatly missed but never forgotten! My condolences to his family and to his work family.
Dr. Aguirre was our family doctor for the last 18 years, he will be terrible missed. His patience, his sincere care and his sense of humor. Every time my husband made a joke he would say, Mr M, que cosas dice…
Doctor Aguirr. Rest In Peace, you exceled in this life and will forever be remembered.
Dr. Aguirre literally saved my life. I went into his office several years back with tremendous ankle swelling and very high blood pressure. He immediately sent me to the ER for further evaluation and found I had many blood clots to include my heart and lung. I had no pain, just some discomfort from swelling. After 6 months of ant-coagulation therapy, I was back up and moving forward with my health. He talked of working together and managed my hypertension beautifully then referred me to a wonderful nutrition program; we both celebrated this outcome. He encouraged my continued good health habits and I praised him for his clinical acumen and commitment to his patients. I knew he had retired, but didn’t see this notice of passing until now. His family is proud I know of his legacy and miss him terribly as do I, his patient.
I was very Blessed to have such a Wonderful Dr. who showed compassion, provided the utmost care for me. He was a beautiful and precious soul., May the Lord have him in His GLORY for he was a Blessing to his patients. I will never forget him. May the Lord comfort, console his family and give them the strength , peace and heal their hearts. Jesus came to heal those who have a broken heart , May his family find rest in the Lord. GOD SPEED DR. AGUIRRE <3
Dr. Aguirre was my Dad’s doctor for many years. He was the one physician that my Dad liked and did not complain about. Dr. Aguirre broke through his gruff impatience with patience, compassion and respect. My mother liked him as well and I met him for the first time when I accompanied my Mom for a appointment. He was genuinely interested in my Mom’s health and well being and I could see why my father respected him. He was not pushy, did not lord over my Mom and he listened. I noted this and also made him my primary physician. He was one of the good ones and will be missed. My heart goes out to his wife and family.
It truly saddens me to hear of his passing. Dr. Aguirre became my doctor when I first began college in San Antonio. He was always kind, patient and very dedicated. Thank you for all your years of service. You are truly missed.
Not only my Doctor but also my friend. I miss him a lot already. I can say that he actually saved my life. A regular checkup visit turned into an early diagnosis of Lymphoma in my lungs. His response was immediate and very supportive, he guided me through the initial process, introduce me to a fantastic Pulmonologist and an outstanding Oncologist and now, 5 years later, I am in remission and healthy. My heart goes to his family and I am sure that he’s living forever in many hearts and souls. He will be dearly missed but lovingly remembered.
JC
I met Fernando in 2000 through his wife, Veronica, who is one of my work friends. I liked him immediately and a few short years later he became my doctor and I encouraged my parents to visit him too. Dr. Aguirre was a compassionate, kind, thoughtful, considerate and humble man. I always enjoyed learning about how he and Veronica were doing and where they were traveling around this amazing world. Dr. Aguirre also supported my family through a difficult time when my father was diagnosed with leukemia and passed less than a year after that diagnosis. He called my father to check on him through his chemo treatments and shared his condolences with my mother when he passed. He was, without a doubt, my favorite doctor and a friend. I miss him very much! I pray for his family as they learn to live their lives without him. I’m sure their memory of him will always be there and bring joy to their heart.
Dr. Aguirre, thank you for your kindness, humor, medical advice and an always positive attitude you brought to the appointments. It’s been my honor knowing you and I’m very saddened to hear about your passing. You will be missed.
It saddens me dearly to hear of the passing of Dr. Aguirre. Not only was he an amazing doctor, but I considered him to be a friend, one who had the most enjoyable personality,. We always had great conversations, and I felt fortunate to have his general consult. I know he is in a better place, we should all take comfort in that, and I wish him and his family all the blessing that only the Lord can provide. You will truly be forever missed., but never forgotten!
Dr Aguirre saved my life. He diagnosed me with diabetes and all of the problems related to that. He then prescribed me some medication and suggested that I lose weight and be be healthy.
I did. I am a diet controlled diabetic. I have a more healthy lifestyle. Without his diagnosis and urging, I would ensure that I could not have written this as my family would no longer have me.
Thank you Dr Aguirre.
I am very grateful to have had Dr. Aguirre as my doctor even though it was for a brief time he has been the best doctor I have ever had. I remember vividly he always received me with a smile and genuine love and concern for his patients well being he will be missed, but I am for certain he is in Heaven watching over all his Patients. May God Always Bless his Family and Loved Ones.
Love Always and Forever Carmen.
I am stunned and deeply saddened to be learning of Dr. Aguirre’s cancer and passing so many months after the fact. It is November and I only learned of this when calling in to make an appointment with him this week. Dr. Aguirre will be greatly missed. He was my doctor for 22 years. He was always very personable and professional, very thorough, and very helpful always. I introduced my husband to him as a patient and my son as well after my son had aged out of the pediatric care at MacGregor. This is a great loss to us as a family. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting Veronica with Dr. Aguirre while dining out at Gloria’s and running into them there. Dr. Aguirre is a bright light in the memories of so many patients, including us, and my prayers are with Veronica and Dr.’s family and friends as well as the staff at MacGregor. His soul remains alive and well with Christ. So thankful for this and for Dr. Aguirre’s life here on earth and continuing in heaven.
We are saddened by Dr. Aguirre’s passing and send our deepest condolences to his family, colleagues and friends. He was our treating physician for many years, and always made us feel like we were his only patients. Often times our consultations would include stories and pictures of our fur babies. We feel blessed to have met him and grateful for the excellent care he provided us.
Dr. Aguirre, rest in peace and thank you. Until we meet again to share more stories of our fur babies.
Our condolences to Dr. Aguirre family & friends. An awesome human being, a compassionate person and a great listener. My wife & I will truly miss Dr. Aguirre. His master said to him, Well done my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come share your masters joy. Matthew 25:21. May you rest in Gods eternal kingdom Dr.
I consider him my friend. He had a great love for medicine. Ih was a friend for over 25 years. I’ll miss him.
He was my doctor. I felt safe with him. He kept me healthy. I truly appreciate all of his help. He was a good man. I know his family must feel a great loss. His patients miss him too. Rest in peace Dr Aguirre. Thank you.
It’s been hard adapting to another doctor after having known Dr. Aguirre. However busy he was, he always took the time to listen. Heaven has gained an angel. A truly caring person and professional.
I did not know Dr Aguirre except for a brief encounter at the clinic for a fracture. He was not my primary but he was assigned to assist me. I could not forget the way he communicated with me and his kindness and not just with me but everyone there, patients and staff. This was probably 3 years ago but he left a lasting impression. God Bless him, I’m sure he already has.
Dr Aguirre was my PCP for quite some time. He was always very focused on my needs and showed genuine interest in my well being. I am saddened to learn of this news since I have not visited the clinic after I was informed of his retirement. I pray his family cherish the fond memories of him and know that he positively impacted the lives of his patients.
Dr. Aguirre has been my doctor since 2002 and I happen to google looking for a family physician and the practice popped up. I did not know who to ask for since I was new at the time so the front desk stated that they had an opening for the time I needed with Dr. Aguirre, so I took it. I have never looked back since and I am glad I made the right choice. Dr. Aguirre has never steered me wrong, he was very knowledgeable, helpful, and sincere. I talked about him so much that I convinced my husband to start seeing him too. Anytime I needed to see a specialist I would always ask him “don’t give my just anybody, but who would you recommend” for any outside service. Always gave great advice and always had a smile on his face. We will forever miss you and our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I learned today after a conversation with a friend that Dr. Aguirre passed away some time last year. I am saddened to read the memorial message on this website. He was my medical doctor for years. He was knowledgeable in his work and always cared for my health at every visit. The community lost a remarkable doctor. Rest in peace Dr. Aguirre. Thank you for your care, expertise and leadership skills.
Dr. Aguirre was our physician from 2001 until 2014, the years that we lived in San Antonio. He was a fine doctor, very capable, yet humble. We send our deepest condolences to the Aguirre family, John and I were reminiscing our time spent in San Antonio and we both agreed that Dr. Aguirre was the best physician we ever had (and that is saying a lot because are both 78 yrs old). And I was shocked to receive the news of his passing when I checked the web site I am certain that his colleagues as well as the San Antonio community continue to miss him for the good care that he provided to so many people. God Bless You, Dr. Aguirre.
